We are in the midst of a global pandemic of obesity, diabetes, cancer, dementia, depression and other chronic diseases caused by modern lifestyles and their associated lack of physical activity, high intake of sugar, fat, salt, alcohol and tobacco and exposure to a toxic cocktail of industrial chemicals. The solutions to this current health crisis are therefore more likely to be found in the homes and behaviours of individuals than in medical clinics, hospital or pharmacies.

Modern research has revealed that tulsi has anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal activity that includes activity against many pathogens responsible for human infections. Tulsi has also been shown to boost defences against infective threats by enhancing immune responses in non-stressed and stressed humans.

Tulsi's unique combination of antibacterial antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities also make it useful in wound healing.

Healing Power: The Basil or Tulsi plant has many medicinal properties. The leaves strengthen the stomach and help in respiratory diseases.

Many studies support the use of the entire plant of holy basil for human use and its therapeutic value. The nutritional value is also high, as it contains:

  • vitamin A and C
  • calcium
  • zinc
  • iron
  • chlorophyll

'Jungle tulsi' shows anti-cancer properties

A small herb belonging to the castor (Euphorbiaceae) family growing in the waste lands of southern India has shown promise in killing cancer cells without affecting healthy cells under laboratory conditions, according to new research. Cancer has been associated with increased levels of intra-cellular free radicals. Therefore, scavenging these radicals with antioxidant supplement is considered a way to arrest the progression of cancer.

The Holy Bhagwat Geeta says that most of the modern-day diseases are psychosomatic – caused by mind. Emotional disturbances like hatred, anger and fear destroy not only our peace of mind but our health as well. They are often caused by the over-or-under secretion of the endocrine glands which secrete chemical hormones into the blood stream, which affects body functions like growth, digestion and energy levels, etc.
Yoga and meditation are capable of relieving stress and strain and creating a relaxed mind. When a relaxed mind recites specific shlokas from Bhagavad Gita it can cure specific diseases.
Rendering of verses is surely not going to cure diseases but it can be a supplement to regular medical therapies.
My goal is to normalize the anxiety of change, motivate people through transitions and support them positively along their path…
You need to have strong desire. Strong enough to overcome all distractions, doubts and weaknesses.

Align with nature’s rhythm and see your own radical change

Here is to a life, every day and spiritual,
Both individual and communal,
Meditative and ritual,
Embracing all the emotions that make us human,
Leading us to happiness,
And beyond happiness

To being
and becoming
whole.

What Do You Expect from Life?

Two women started a new job on the same day.

One expected to have a great day and looked forward to meeting her new co-workers, the other dreaded it as she thought that she would be treated as an outsider.

They both got what they expected.

Two young men went to a university lecture.

One eagerly anticipated the chance to learn, the other attended the class solely to get through the course.

They both got what they expected.

Two sisters celebrated Christmas with their families.

One was looking forward to catching up with loved one and reminiscing on old times, the other was sure that it would be a disaster.

They both got what they expected.

Two men went to the same church on a Sunday morning.

One expected to experience God and learn something new for his spiritual walk, the other expected very little except to go through an empty ritual.

They both got what they expected.

Two women went to the same party.

One expected to have a great time with her friends, the other anticipated that no-one would speak to her.

They both got what they expected.

Two men went to football training for the same team.

One couldn’t wait to work hard, sweat and improve his skills, the other couldn’t be bothered working hard as he thought that training was a waste of time.

They both got what they expected.

In all these situations the pattern was the same:

·         They had the same circumstances.

·         They chose their attitude.

·         The outcome directly matched their expectations.

It doesn’t always work like this.

Sometimes, we have the most optimistic perspective, only to be sorely disappointed.

Sometimes, we go into a situation with a very negative attitude and are pleasantly surprised.

But you get what you expect. Some people grow up with the ability to think and act positively, but anyone can cultivate it with a little self-discipline.

Having this kind of perspective removes fear and doubt from your life and replaces them with certainty about achieving a successful outcome.

Life is full of happiness and tears; be strong and have faith.

Sarve Janah Sukhino Bhavantu —  this mantra has been derived from the ancient language Sanskrit and can be found in the Vedic texts. The original texts read:

Thymus Tapping : BOOST YOUR IMMUNITY - COMBAT CORONAVIRUS

Thymus Tapping

Thymus Tapping

Our immune system protects our body from disease, so it’s important to build a strong immune system.

Behind your sternum, or breastbone, sits the thymus gland, your immune system’s surveillance gland.

It is part of the lymphatic immune system and one of the functions of the thymus is to process and mature T cells (also known as killer cells), the immune system’s “soldiers”.  Thumping, or tapping, your thymus gland stimulates your immune system, giving it a boost.

Use thymus tapping to keep the gland active and boost your immune system.

·         Stimulate energy

·         Boost your immune system

·         Increase your strength and vitality

Gently tapping on the thymus gland creates vibrations that stimulate an increase in the maturation and release of white blood cells.

Here’s how you do it:

Using your fingertips or side of your fist, tap up and down about 2-3 inches along your sternum, between and above your breasts.

The thymus is located behind the third rib, but any vibrations along the length of the upper sternum will stimulate it.

Do this for 15-20 seconds and continue to take regular slow breaths.

Do 1-3 times a day or up to 4 during times of acute illness. It can be all you need to ward off a cold or illness as the thymus is stimulated to release all that infection fighting white blood cells.
                                                 THYMUS GLAND LOCATION

5 BENEFITS OF THUMPING YOUR THYMUS

1.   Release fear.

2.   Increase your life force energy.

3.   Increase strength.

4.   Increase vitality.
     5. Strengthen your immune system.

GOOD SAYING
